Huey P. Long Bridge
(Widening -Phase 1)

Phase 1 of the Huey P Long bridge included the widening and strengthening the bridge substructure. Paragon performed abrasive blasting and painting of the new substructure structural steel. The LADOTD state standard coating system was applied along with a high temperature coating.

Paragon also installed a safety net system to prevent debris from the rehabilitation of the bridge from falling on the contract workers providing support services below the superstructure. QP1/QP2 certification was required.
