Rehabilitate and Paint Tainter Gates – Murray Lock and Dam + Toad Suck Lock and Dam

Delivery: RFP-Construction Role: JV Partner Owner: USACE - Little Rock Project Fee: $26 million Completion Date: October 2012

Work included visual Hydraulic Steel Structure (HSS) inspection, steel repair/welding (per AWS D1.1M/D1.1), corrosion repair, abrasive blasting, lead-based paint removal over and on water, cathodic protection removal and installation. SSPC QP1/QP2 certification was required. Abrasive blast cleaned 30 tainter gates to a SSPC SP-5 and applied multiple coating systems to the tainter gates that included 5-E-Z Vinyl.
